Advent Week 4

This Sunday, December 22nd, is the fourth week of Advent.  Here is some information so that you will be ready.

This Sunday before you begin your Advent Ceremony make sure you light the last two purple candles and one pink candle. You will light the final purple one today.

The fourth candle reminds us of the “gift of love.”  The Bible says that “God Is Love,” so the baby in the manger was Love in human form.

Here are some other verses that remind us of this precious gift.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Galatians 5:14 (NIV) 

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV)

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
